We arrived in the city of Jerusalem today just a few hours ago, and we're all excited to see what this modern city, as well as this ancient city, has to offer our group. We spend five days here before we head homeward bound, but I'm not to sure anybody is excited for those 20ish hours of flying...

In a land with a past dripping with the blood of millions of Jewish marters, we are surrounded by the battlefields of these brave men, women and children who would go on to shape the very way we see this beautiful land.  Arbel is one such location.  This mountain top is an absolutely incredible view.  Standing on the top, you can see many of the most important sites of Galilee.  It was an impenetrable Jewish stronghold.  Well, almost.  They should have remembered Psalm 20:7 "Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God." We can't trust in anything of this world to save us.   There was no fortress here, but along the sheer drop of the cliffs are looming caves.  Inside these, the Jewish rebels made their stand.  In the end they would choose death, rather than to submit to a pagan master.
